Dr. Sateesh Vattam

Medical Director

Sateesh Vattam joined us as our new Medical Director in September 2022. Dr Vattam received his degree in veterinary medicine in India in 1998, followed by a year of clinical training at Oklahoma State University. He then obtained a MS degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 2004.

His primary focus is general medicine but has extensive experience with dentistry, surgery and emergency medicine. He has enjoyed the welcome he has received from his new Sacramento clients and their pets. In his spare time, Dr. Vattam enjoys spending time with his family, walking, reading and going to the movies.

Dr. Katie True

Received her D.V.M. in 1991 from U.C. Davis after completing her B.A. in Animal Physiology from U.C. San Diego in 1986. She was born and raised in Davis and has worked at Midtown Animal Hospital since 1996. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but especially internal medicine, dermatology, preventative health and senior care. Outside of veterinary medicine she is involved as a volunteer for AFS, an international high school exchange program, and puppy raising with Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Dr. Burgandi Williams

Received her DVM degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2024 after completing her B.S. in Biology from Oregon State University in 2018. She was born in Sacramento and lived in the area up until she moved to Hawaii in the 5th grade. She moved back to the mainland for college, and after graduating from vet school she decided to return back home to Sacramento to be closer to family.

Her professional interests include general practice, clinical pathology, and dermatology. While passionate about veterinary care, Dr. Williams enjoys hiking, traveling, working out, and spending time with family.
